The 955LE is a CNC tube bending machine in the Linear series for tubes with a diameter of up to 55 mm. The frame of this tube bending machine has a standard length of 4480 mm but the stroke can be extended with or without a recovery cycle. The head of this model has a direct transmission that increases the machine’s rigidity and effectiveness. The 955LE is an advanced model for its pneumatic balancing that saves energy and increases performance. Like the other machines in the Linear series, the 955LE occupies little space and mounts a compact bending head to produce tube geometries that normally would require a double bending direction in a single cycle. It is a multistack multiradius machine with a manually reconfigurable bending direction, and can be fitted simultaneously with several tools with different radii and clamping. Its design was conceived for easy integration with the already existing tools. This tube bending machine also has a horizontal plane positioner to minimise damage to the machine in the event of components accidental collisions. Furthermore, all the movements of the machine’s axes are on linear guide rails and recirculation ball carriages which require no lubrication and minimise wear compared to the traditional guides. The machine also offers a high production rate for producing bends with a CLR/DIA ratio even less than 0.8. The 955LE has 9 axes that are driven by absolutely digital electric motors with Fully Electric technology and controlled by Siemens SINUMERIK 840D sl. The operator can interact intuitively with the machine using the UII (User ISO Interface) three-dimensional graphical software on a 19” LCD touch screen. This machine is designed to integrate into Smart Factory system.
