CNC tube bending machine with a fully automatic cycle

The 1025E is a CNC tube bending machine from the UP&DOWN series for tubes with a diameter and a thickness of up to 25 mm and 3 mm, respectively, with an installed power of 12 kW. The distinctive feature is the orthogonal movement of the bending head, which enables the production of the most complex tube geometries automatically, generally requiring post-processing, without the operator’s manual intervention.The head’s orthogonality not only allows the interplanar passage and double bending directions, but also the integration of the loading and unloading cycles. The clamp die is synchronised with the pressure die to open the upper and lower work planes simultaneously. The 1025E is a multiradius and multistack machine with at least 6 work planes. Thanks to its high vertical travel, multiple tools with different radii and clamping can be installed simultaneously. All of the machine’s movements are on lubrication-free linear guide rails and recirculating ball carriages, which last longer than traditional guides. Efficiency is also guaranteed by the high-load ball screws, which control the movements of the clamp- and pressure-die. The machine’s 10 axes are actuated by digital motors with “Full Electric” technology and controlled by Siemens SINUMERIK 840D sl. This technology ensures high quality, energy savings, and minimum set-up/start up time and scraps. In addition, maximum efficiency and energy saving are guaranteed by the pneumatic vertical balancing, which allows the installation of a smaller yet more powerful motor. The high production rate, the availability for a wide range of accessories for a specific process, and the ability to produce bends with a CLR/DIA ratio of lower than 0.8, and the ability to thrust bends with variable radius make this machine suitable for sectors where efficiency and productivity are paramount. This machine can also integrate into work cells. The 1025E is installed with a three-dimensional graphical sofware on a 19” LCD touch screen for the operator to interact intuitively with the machine. The UII (User ISO Interface) facilitates programming, simulation, and optimisation of the bending programs.The 1025E is designed to integrate into the Smart Factory system.
